Check the availability of a corporation or LLC name. You will be given an opportunity to reserve it, for a fee, if you so choose. Reserving a corporation or LLC name for an online fee has the advantage of immediately securing the name for 120 days so no one else can have it. Reserving the name is voluntary and does not create the entity. The entity name is held for 120 days. The name reservation is non-renewable and the fee is nonrefundable. Reserving the name is voluntary, not required, and does not create the entity. The name reservation is granted immediately; no refunds will be issued.

You may submit a paper application to reserve a corporation or LLC name by using the forms below. The reservation does not take effect until the application is approved by Corporation Division staff. The form must be submitted by mail or in person.
If your approved name reservation has not expired, you can submit a paper form to transfer it to another person, or cancel it.
A foreign corporation that wants to register its name in Arizona can submit a paper application. Once approved, the name registration is valid for one year, and can be renewed at the end of that period. Approval of a name registration is not a grant of authority to transact business in Arizona.
